You asked, and we answered! Mobile devices are so prevalent in real estate that we took steps to modernize our client reports.
Starting on Wednesday, April 8 around noon, we will roll out a new, responsive format for these reports. In other words, they will look clean and streamlined on smartphones and tablets, not just a shrunken version of the desktop view.
The most essential info will be shown right up top, with alternating colors for each section to make for easier reading. Speaking of easier reading, the default text size will be 2 points larger (and in a spiffier font!), which helps when looking at a screen or at a printout.
Take a look at the before and after examples below. Bear in mind, this “new” example is just a mockup…you will see an actual photo when you look up client reports in the future.
We welcome your feedback, so please let us know what you think. If this new look is as popular as toilet paper and hand sanitizer, we might find even more ways to modernize our reporting features.
Thanks for being a loyal subscriber, and stay safe as we continue to flatten the curve!
I like the new look Christina!!
This will make it so much easier for our clients to read the specifics about their properties. Thank you RMLS
love it!
The new look is great! Great job.
Very Nice! Way to go!
Hello RMLS:
First, thank you for making the client reports more ‘user friendly’ for mobile devices.
Here are concerns regarding the shaded backgrounds when printing the reports that I hope RMLS will take into strong consideration — and provide an option or version without the shaded backgrounds.
First of all — and from previous experience — printing reports with shaded backgrounds do not produce the best quality for legibility purposes of the copy on top of the shade.
Secondly and importantly so:
Many brokers, like myself, print many reports at a time for buyer property tours from our home office (and not necessarily on fancy printers) and these background shades — especially the very dark BACKGROUND SHADE AT THE TOP of the report with the broker contact info — will DEPLETE the printers (expensive) ink very quickly (again, speaking from experience). (The property photo on the client report already uses plenty of ink when printing — and of course it’s understood this should remain on the report.)
Therefore, please strongly consider ‘user friendly’ print versions and/or options for the client reports.
Thank you for your feedback, Karen! Our product manager will take your feedback under consideration.
Hello Karen, the color graphics on the new reports can be removed, through your browser printer options. Please reach out to the help desk if you would like support with this. Thank you again for your feedback.
I would agree Printing costs are expensive enough.
will we be able to print the new version on 1 sheet?
Hello Steve, The New Client Full report is a Client
UN-abbreviated version that may run onto a second page. We are working on a one page client version. Thank you.
Great look – but I do agree with Karen’s comment above
A print version may be better with only a line outlining the blue boxes and removing the blue color.
Otherwise the design looks great!
When using iphone to view the report which opens into Safari, the report disappears and only the public remarks and photos show up. I tried clearing my cache and temporary files, restarting my phone, and it is not resolved.
Is anyone else having problems seeing these reports on their iphone in Safari?
One more thing – I agree about the color and cost of printing – too expensive – toner costs more than some printers.
And I don’t see DOM on these pages – am I missing it? Normally it is at the bottom of the page.
Hi Shawn, thank you for your feedback. Please reach out to the helpdesk to see if they can assist you with your phone. DOM is on the top right of the report under the “Listed Date”. Thank you.
I agree that this looks much nicer but it would be great to print it onto just one piece of paper!
It’s crisp, easy to read, MORE definitive! It was time for the change.
Very nice! Thank you!
I would like to see price per acre for vacant land listings and live links to “Documents” in Client Reports. I routinely email Client Reports to buyers & sellers. With the current system sending documents takes additional steps, not always convenient when out in the field and working on a phone. I have requested this with 3 different RMLS board members over the past few years – but no progress made – and no clear reason why RMLS won’t make this improvement. Thank you, John
