Save the Date! RMLS™ Education Summit and Trade Fair Coming March 19, 2015

Save-the-Date-RMLSTF2015

Real estate professionals: you are invited to save the date for the 2015 RMLS™ Education Summit and Trade Fair! This year’s trade fair will be taking place on March 19, 2015, at the World Forestry Center in Portland, OR.

Why the World Forestry Center?

RMLS™ frequently heard feedback from attendees in past years that they’d like to see the event in a different location. The World Forestry Center offers a new location on the west side of Portland, plentiful parking, easy access by transit, and also enables RMLS™ to offer more amenities to attendees and exhibitors.

Interested in Attending?

RMLS™ members and non-members are welcome to attend the event, and class registration will be open by early February. Monitor RMLStradefair.com, RMLS™ on Facebook, or RMLS™ on Twitter for the latest updates.

Whether you’ll be attending classes, reaching out to REALTORS®, or window shopping around the trade fair floor, RMLS™ looks forward to seeing you at the World Forestry Center this spring!

Thanks, Sponsors!

Special thanks to our sponsors for making this event possible…

Eastern Oregon & Washington agents enjoy day of education & networking

We just finished up with our Fall Education Summit & Trade Fair, held in Pendleton, Oregon this year.  About 120 agents joined us for free core education opportunities & a chance to see new products and services offered by exhibitors.  This is the first time we’ve done a show in Eastern Oregon & we really enjoyed seeing some new & familiar faces!

Pendleton Show

Matt Farmer of the Oregon Association of Realtors spoke on distressed properties, which remains a  hot topic these days. In fact, First American CoreLogic just reported that the foreclosure rate was still rising in August, as it reached 1.8% in Oregon.

Dian Lane with Prudential NW Properties presented on several topics specific to Washington real estate, giving the Washington agents that joined us an opportunity to earn core credit hours.

And finally we had an interesting panel discussion on critical groundwater & water rights, which  seems to be an increasingly important topic here in Eastern Oregon.

Thank you to all of you who joined us – we hope you found the information beneficial!

Thanks also to all of the presenters & exhibitors that participated – we couldn’t have done it without you!

Specifically,  thanks to: American West Bank, Bear Printing, Director’s Mortgage, Eastern Oregon Real Estate and Homebuilders Guide, Fair Housing Council of Oregon GE Security,  Oregon Real Estate Forms, LLC,  Superior Schools,  Scent Synergy, Suncatcher Studios and Fine Crafts, Top Producer Systems, US Cellular, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage; and Matt Farmer & the Oregon Association of Realtors; Dian Lane; Teresa Walchli, Umatilla County Soil & Water Conservation District; J.R. Cook, City of Umatilla; Ken Diebel, Oregon Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Division and the wonderful staff at Wildhorse Resort & Casino!

Now it’s time to start thinking about the 2010 RMLS Trade Fair in Portland – it’s scheduled for April 1. Look forward to more great educational opportunities and some great exhibitors!
